Super Bowl XLVIII: Be the Broncos Biggest Fan with this Gear

It only seemed fair that if I was going to write about how to be the Seattle Seahawks 12th Man that I should also post about how to be the Denver Broncos Biggest Fan on the same day, lest you think I’m a bit partial to the Seahawks. Let me assure you that I am not.

True Story that hasn’t happened yet: This year on my fantasy football team I had the opportunity to pick up Peyton Manning, but I decided to heed my husband’s advice and instead picked up the best available running back, C.J. Spiller. I’m pretty sure this decision – my first of the draft – lead me to last place in our league. Next year I’m going back to my tried and true formula of picking a quarter back first and have my sights set on either Peyton Manning or Russell Wilson. Not like this is particularly brilliant on my behalf considering they’re both going to the Super Bowl. Still – it’s the thought that counts.

I graduated high school in 1999, which just so happens to be the last time Denver won the Super Bowl. If you plan on cheering them on to their first championship in 15 years, here’s some gear that may help you do so in style:

1. Women’s Old-Style Denver Broncos Tee - $38

2. Yeti Knit Ski Hat - $29.95

3. Denver Broncos Decorative Eye Strips - $4.99

4. Denver Broncos Camouflage Scarf - $17.95

5. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Orange Nail Polish - $10

6. Essie Aruba Blue Nail Polish - $7.79

7. Nike Denver Broncos Mile High Thunder Tee – $27.95

8. Denver Broncos Knit Knee Slipper Socks - $29.95

9. Denver Broncos Track Jacket - $68.80

10. Orange, White & Navy Hair Tie Set – $5.50

Super Bowl XLVIII: Here’s What You’ll Need to be the Seahawks’ 12th Man

Super Bowl XLVIII: Here's what you'll need to be the Seahawks 12th Man

This little thing called the Super Bowl will dominate the country on February 2, 2014. The Seattle Seahawks will tee off against the Denver Broncos in a battle to see who can become the world’s national champion. Or something like that. Truth be told, I’m still a little miffed that my boyfriend Tom Brady won’t be playing, but what can ya do? There’s always next year for me and all the other forlorn Tom fans out there. (I don’t root for the Patriots. Just Tom.)

I haven’t decided if I’ll be rooting for the Seahawks or Broncos once the game actually begins. I don’t feel much of a connection since I didn’t have players from either team on my fantasy team. The Seahawks are always exciting to watch and their games look like a heck of a lot of fun with those incredibly loud fans, but the Peyton Manning storyline is compelling and I had an awesome time in Denver last year. I may just declare myself Switzerland and be happy with whichever team takes home the title.

I know most people aren’t neutral though, so if you’re going to add yourself to the Seattle Seahawks’ 12th Man roster, here’s what you might need:

1. Fleece-Lined Knit Hat* - $22.95

2. Nike Danger Russ Tee – $29.95

3. Women’s Seattle Seahawks Tee - $28

4. Seattle Seahawks Fitted Hat - $29.95

5. Woodmark Scarf - $17.95

6. Seattle Seahawks Decorative Eye Strips - $7.09

7. Nike Seattle Seahawks We Are 12 Hoodie – $64.95

8. Nails Inc. Neon Green Crackle Top Coat - $5

9. Essie Aruba Blue Nail Polish - $7.79

10. Blue Mini Pom Ponytail Holder – $6.95

*Side Note: I have a Patriots fleece-lined hat and I have to tell you that it is AMAZING. Super duper warm and kinda cute, too. You can see it in action here.

Super Shopping: Enjoy 20% Off Your Full-Priced Purchase at ASOS This Weekend

by Lisa on February 1st, 2013

ASOS Coupon - 20% Off your entire purchase

Are you a Super Bowl watcher? I plan on watching it like I do every other sporting event: with my computer on my lap doing some online shopping/browsing. And maybe eating some chili. And definitely a ThinkThin Divine Bar! Since my beloved Tom Brady didn’t make it into the game I’ll mostly be counting down the minutes until the half time show.

One of the sites I’ll definitely be checking out this weekend is ASOS, because they just released a new coupon that will save you 20% off full-priced items at ASOS!

ASOS Coupon: Use code “SUPERBOWL20″ to receive the 20% discount. The coupon is valid through February 4, 2013 on all orders up to $875. (I don’t really get this maximum order…I wonder if it’s a computer thing???) Some brands may be excluded from the promotion.

Here are a few of my favorite items that can currently be found at ASOS:

ASOS Midi Skirt In Bold Stripe

Of course the black and white skirt would appear first! I think black and white has temporarily displaced glitter as my favorite thing to post about. This Midi Skirt in Bold Stripe is normally $70.36, but you can snag it for $56.28 with the discount.

ASOS Maternity Double Layer Dress with Long Sleeves

I feel I need to qualify this pick by saying that I’m not pregnant, but if I was I would SO be rocking this ASOS Maternity Double Layer Dress with Long Sleeves. I really like the cut (and length) of the dress and wish it was available for us non-preggos. Normally $36.83, it’s $29.46 after the coupon is applied.

ASOS Boxy Sweater With Heart Elbow Patches

Obviously the world is filled with items covered in hearts at the moment, but this ASOS Boxy Sweater With Heart Elbow Patches is my favorite of all of the hearts, perhaps because of how subtle and adorable they are! Normally $38.59, this sweater is $30.87 after the coupon is applied.

Greg Jones Proposes to Girlfriend After the Superbowl

by Lisa on February 8th, 2012

How stinking cute is this? Greg Jones from the New York Giants proposed to his girlfriend on the field after winning the Super Bowl. During a time that could have been all about him – and deservedly so – he turned things around and made the night about both of them. Sweet.
