The Best $7 I’ve Spent This Month Was On Goodies Box

There’s no denying that I spend way too much money on subscription boxes. I think it’s money well spent because I enjoy these boxes, but I’ll admit to occasionally being disappointed when boxes are less than I was expecting (see: Pink Fancy Box). Sometimes though, a box just comes completely out of the blue and surprises you in a good way that it’s a day changer. That’s what happened with the Goodies Box I received yesterday. Considering Goodies Box costs just $7, this is easily one of the best subscription boxes I’ve received.

Goodies Box is one of the cheapest boxes on the market (the$7 is inclusive of shipping), but don’t let that small price tag fool you. Goodies Box comes stocked with an assortment of food and snack products each month, and the May Goodies Box is absolutely awesome!

I’ve been kind of pokey lately about opening up subscription boxes, but the second the PopSugar Must Have Box arrives at my door I MUST open it. Per usual, this box was awesome and I felt like I was opening a big box full of birthday presents!

Here’s what I received:

Kooringal Giselle Mid Brim Hat ($27) – This dark hat clashes with my dark hair! That said, I like it quite a bit and it provides SPF 50. I will definitely be taking this on vacation with me next month.

Way Better Snacks

Way Better Snacks Sweet Potato Chips – I am a sweet potato junkie. (Seriously, I bring a baked sweet potato in my mini crock pot to work every single day. I can’t get enough.) I’m always excited to try out new sweet potato chips. (more…)

PopSugar Must Have Summer Fun Box Review

The PopSugar Must Have Summer Fun Box was announced what feels like forever ago! I waited at least 8 weeks for this box to arrive (and then another week because FedEx pulled some tomfoolery where my box was shipped to Chicago… and then up to Wisconsin… before returning to Chicago yesterday). The PopSugar Must Have Summer Fun Box was a limited edition box that cost $100 (!!!). Normally I would never consider paying $100 for any of these boxes, but I really wanted to see what one of the PopSugar Must Have limited edition boxes was all about.

Here’s what I received:

House of Harlow 1960 Tilda Aviator Sunglasses (currently selling for $115 at Stefani Bags) – I don’t think these sunglasses are a perfect shape for my face, but I’ll still wear them plenty this summer. I’m a little behind on getting this review of the April Glossybox out. Whoops! I figure it’s better late than never though, right?

The April Glossybox was filled with all sorts of fun items, including 2 full size products. As I’ve said the past couple of months, Glossybox has really hit their stride as of late. I’m enjoying the boxes quite a bit because they are packed with mostly useful beauty products that I can’t wait to try.

TIGI Cosmetics Glow Blush – I’m really excited to use this bush! It’s a great color that’s going to look wonderful this spring and summer when I’m going for more of a sun-kissed look. Did You Catch Misto Box on Shark Tank?

I only discovered Shark Tank this season and I am obsessed! This is one of my favorite ways to discover new products, and I feel like each week it gives me a crash course in business.

I was excited to watch this week’s episode and see my blogging world collide with my tv watching world when Misto Box, a subscription box for coffee lovers, was featured on the show!

I can’t find just a clip of the people behind Misto Box on Shark Tank, but you can watch the entire episode here if you so wish. Misto Box is the first business featured in the episode.

Spoiler Alert: The founders of Misto Box DO get their investment from the sharks, which will allow them to expand their operations. Up until they appeared on the show, the founders of the box were doing everything themselves in an apartment. It was an interesting behind-the-scenes look at how at least one subscription box company works, and I’m assuming others have similar grassroots beginnings.

After the first box the price of the subscription goes up to $15 per month. Each month you will receive a selection of four 1.75 oz. whole bean coffee samples from roasters around the world. Julep May Modern Beauty Box Review

Each month Julep offers Julep Maven members a selection of boxes. You can choose to keep the same box you normally receive, or switch boxes. While normally I receive a nail polish subscription box, this month I couldn’t resist the Julep Modern Beauty Box. Julep has just gotten into the makeup game and I was eager to check out some of the products.

Get a Discounted GoBites.com Subscription via Plum District

Sometimes I open up a subscription box so quickly that I never get around to reviewing it. This really only happens with food boxes, which I tend to consume too quickly to review. Such was the case with GoBites.com. I received a box sometime last fall and before I knew it the snacks were gone.

This is a testament to how good the snacks are that GoBites.com sends out. The snacks are healthy, yes, but they’re also delicious!

Right now you can get you first box from GoBites.com for just $14. This box contains 14 individually sized snack packs and it would normally sell for $28. There are 27 different snacks from which to choose and you can check them all out here. All of the snacks from GoBites are “whole”, healthy, and delicious. One of my favorites was Sweet Siam, though I really want to try Blackberry & Co, which wasn’t on the list when I received my box.
