One of the reasons I love blogging and social media so much is the amazing people you meet. Today’s Etsy shop owner is an example of that. I followed Laura as she was planning her own wedding and now I continue to follow her as she makes a name for herself in the handmade world. With that being said, please allow me to introduce you to Thoughtfully Designed. Laura got the DIY bug during her own wedding planning process and has since expanded upon that to make handmade, personalized wedding items for you to love!
I love the verse on the two smaller candles. “Where you go I will go. Where you stay I will stay.” So sweet! And the middle candle can be customized with the font, names, date, and ribbon color. You all know how much I just love personalization!
This is the greatest idea ever. Seriously. I had a beach wedding and a boatload of flip flops and I wish I would have thought about this. People were pulling those suckers out left and right trying to figure out sizes. This would have made my life easier. 
These tags come in a set of 10 and can include S, M, and L or numbers. Also, you have your choice of colored cardstock. LOVE.
I love the idea of having a photo of your parents/grandparents to symbolize your something old. That is just too sweet. Or as a tribute to someone who could not be there on your wedding day. Laura can print the picture in black and white, sepia, or color for you. “The charm is 1.5″ long and is available in either a gold or silver finish. The photo is secured to the charm, but is not behind glass. A satin ribbon bow in the color of your choice can be added if you’d like.” This is seriously one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen. I love love love this.

1. What was the first item you ever made?
A lot of the items in my shop were items I originally made for my own wedding, so I think the first one I finished was our unity candle, which I now sell here: www.etsy.com/listing/56239523/damask-religious-unity-candle
2. What inspires you to create new items in your shop?
I love knowing that my idea for a new item may be exactly what a bride is looking for. I love hearing that an item is perfect and will fit the theme of their wedding! It’s always fun introducing a new item!
3. What is your favorite item in your shop and why?
It’s a close call on my favorite item! I love my memorial candles (www.etsy.com/listing/60655731/memorial-candles) because I had 6 of them at my wedding, and I got to see the tearful reactions from other family members when they saw them. I think they’re such a nice reminder of lost loved ones, and you can display them in your home afterward! I also really love all of my bouquet charms – They’re so fun to make, and the photo frame charms always have a great story behind them.
4. What is your bestseller?
My bestseller is definitely my do not disturb door hangers (www.etsy.com/listing/53669556/door-hangers-for-out-of-town-wedding)! I don’t even know how many thousand I’ve made since I started selling them. They’re fun, too, because they’re custom, so the designs are always different and unique to the couple!
5. What inspired you to start your Etsy shop?
I loved planning our wedding and pouring time into little DIY details that would make our day special. I knew I would miss it after the wedding, and I also knew there are lots of brides out there who either don’t have the time or the desire to make these items themselves, but still love the custom/handmade look. I knew I’d enjoy working with brides and would love helping make their weddings more special, and I hope to work full time in the wedding industry eventually, so my shop has a been a big step in the right direction!

Remember my obsession with these absolutely fabulous emerald tear drop earrings worn by Angelina Jolie and Kyle Richards? My wonderful boyfriend bought me a pair for Valentine’s Day, likely because he was tired of hearing me talk about how much I needed my own pair of faux emerald drop earrings. {By the way, they’re even better in person – the color is truly magnificent!}
