Just a quick reminder that the Missoni for Target collection debuts tomorrow, September 13, 2011!!!

The collection will be available both online and in-stores and I expect many items to sell out almost immediately.  {Remember Liberty of London last year? oy. Sold out so quick I didn’t get my hands on a dang thing.}

I’m not sure what time you’ll be able to find the collection online, but I would start checking Target.com at midnight ET if you’re awake and really determined to get your hands on something.

Most stores open at 8 a.m., although we have seen numerous reports that some stores have already started selling items.  If you stop by today you never know what you might find!

Let us know if you pick up anything fab!!!

Target Friday: Merona Collection Ivan Skirt

by Shaina on September 9th, 2011

I am all about the pencil skirt for fall – in fact, I am a little bit obsessed. Every time I see a pencil skirt at Target, I end up taking it home with me. This one is no exception! I am constantly amazed at how high-quality Merona Collection items are – you seriously cannot beat the quality for a piece of clothing under $30. I love the colors and the pattern of this skirt – perfect for fall, and would look great with some tights and boots! The one thing I don’t care for? The name. Ivan sounds like a Russian guy drinking vodka with a fur hat. But hey, if Ivan likes fun pencil skirts, I’m game!

To Purchase: Target; Price: $26.99

Check Out the Entire Missoni for Target Look Book!

by Lisa on August 12th, 2011

This morning Target was kind enough to post EVERYTHING that will be included in the upcoming Missoni for Target line on their Facebook page.

Let’s just say that I am now way more excited than I was the last time I posted a sneak peek, and I was already WAY excited then.  Truthfully, I’m more excited about the home items than most of the clothes.  Maybe it’s just the way they styled all of the pieces, but some looks are so … busy.  The bathing suit? Amazing.  The vases?  I want them now.

Take a sneak peek below, and for the entire collection head on over to Target’s Facebook page.

Coveting: Merona Collection Cecila Woven Skirt

by Shaina on August 11th, 2011

I saw this gorgeous Merona Collection Cecila Woven Skirt the other day at Target, and fell in love.  Unfortunately, they didn’t have my size, so instead I will wait and watch online and hope that it goes on sale.  :)  I have sworn allegiance to Merona before, and I’m in no danger of falling out of love with the brand.  This skirt feels amazing – it seems really well-made, like a skirt that would likely cost far upwards of $50.  But instead?  It’s only $26.99!  Target is SO the bomb.

Does anyone say that anymore?  Hmm.  Well, I think it’s time to bring it back.

Fantabulously Frugal Style: First Day of Work

by Shaina on August 10th, 2011

First Day of Work

Like I mentioned yesterday, I’m starting a brand new job in a couple of weeks and of COURSE had to do some new-job shopping!  I didn’t have a ton of money to work with but wanted to get a few new pieces (like those fabulous shoes I showed you yesterday!).  I headed to my fave spots – Target and Old Navy – to pick up this adorable outfit – with some pieces already in my closet to help.

Clockwise from left:

Old Navy Women’s Floralprint Dobby Shirt – $24.94

Merona Zaley Skirt from Target – $24.99

Fossil Stella Tortoise Watch from Macy’s – $105 (this was a Christmas gift from my mother-in-law)

Old Navy Women’s Long Perfect Tank – $8.50 (already in my closet)

Born Waverly Oxford from OnlineShoes.com – $109.95 (my big splurge!!)

Kate Spade Flicker Sophie Bag – $295 – The Kate Spade bag is an old one I’ve had for a couple of years.  It’s similar to the one posted here but not quite the same.  PLUS, of course I got mine at one of the Kate Spade online sample sales!

Anyway, I’m really excited about how this outfit ended up coming together and I think it will be a great first day of work outfit!  Do you have fun planning your first day of work outfits?  I also like planning out my special first day of school outfits.  :)

Fab Deals at Target: BOGO Jeans + 20% Off $75 Clothing Purchases

by Lisa on August 9th, 2011

It is a fab day to shop at Target, friends. They’ve got a couple of truly great deals happening right now, although one of them is only available today.

Target Daily Deals

First up, Mossimo Juniors Bootcut Jeans are Buy One Get One Free today! This is Target’s Daily Deal, and it’s a fab one! Normally these jeans cost just $15, but I’m not going to complain for getting two pairs of jeans for just $7.50 per pair! Plus, there’s always free shipping on the daily deal.

If you’re looking to go on a mini Target shopping spree, however, the deal gets a little better: Target is taking 20% off $75 purchases of select clothing, shoes, and accessories! They’re also throwing in free shipping on this offer.  And yep – if you wanted to pick up the Mossimo jeans, they’re definitely included in the 20% off offer!  {Just remember they’re only BOGO today.}

So … who’s suddenly really tempted to go shopping at Target?  I am, for sure.  I need “back to work” clothes … you know, just a few staples. :)

One of the reasons I love fall is that you can start wearing lots of brown and black, and if you plan it right, you can even wear them together. This is the Mossimo Women’s Open Cardigan Sweater w/Tab Sleeves and it’s $22.99.

I’d pair it with this basic Doubleweave Pencil Skirt {$22.99}, because I wouldn’t want to go too crazy with the colors!

I’d finish the look with these Natural Patent Pumps, which cost $29.99. There’s nothing crazy about this outfit, but all of these pieces look good together, and they’ll look good with other items.

All told this outfit comes to $75.97.  Take off the 20% and you’ll pay just $60.78 – not too shabby at all!

One Note: If you are going to get the BOGO jeans deal, you must get it through the Target Daily Deals page.  If you just search for those jeans you will not get the deal.
