Every so often Urban Outfitters releases a track of 25 free tunes, and right now is one of those times!  You can now downlad UO Music – LSTN #10, which includes music from a variety of artists.

Artists on the free album include: Twin Sister, The Drums, The Young, Broken Social Scene, Here We Go Magic, Flying Lotus, Jamie Lidell, Phosphorescent, and others.  I don’t know many of the artists included but as one wise Fantabulously Frugal reader once pointed out, these free song downloads are a great way to increase your music repertoire.

The music must be downloaded through iTunes anytime prior to October 31, 2010.

Free music lovers, rejoice!  The powers that have be have just released a great line-up of 18 free downloadable songs titled Best of Bonnaroo.  {You know, the music festival.}

They would love for you to “take action on climate change” in exchange for the free songs, but they’ll still let you have the songs even if you don’t want to take action.

It’s turning into country music week around here, isn’t it?  I’m sorry for all of you non-country fans out there that have had to put up with these music downloads the past two days!  I like all genres of music, but only certain songs from each genre.

One of my all-time favorite songs, regardless of genre, is Brad Paisley’s Letter to Me.  It’s schmaltzy and tells a great story.  The song that has been played the most in my iTunes has been played 26 times, Letter to Me has been played 21.  That’s how much I like love this song.

It’s kind of feeling like Freebie Tuesday around here, isn’t it?  The sales this week are … lame.  Seriously.  I don’t know if the stores have forgotten that Hanukkah begins tomorrow and Christmas is exactly 2 weeks from tomorrow, but nothing good is for sale.  Sheesh.  Here’s to hoping the sales pick up tomorrow!

In the meantime, iTunes still loves us!  They’ve released a FREE 20-song holiday sampler!
