Etsy Monday: Chocolate Savvy

by Megan on April 30th, 2012

Ok, brace yourself folks, today’s featured shop makes me drool. Heck, anything with the word chocolate in it gets an A in my book! So, you can only imagine how excited I am to introduce you to Chocolate Savvy. All I can say is nom, nom, nom…

The shop’s owner, Marlo, makes tasty treats that make me wish the computer came with a scratch and sniff ability. You can’t tell me that chocolate covered pretzels aren’t the greatest invention of all time. I mean, come on! I rank them right up there with the internet. :)

My idea of heaven consists of all the chocolate I can eat. Seriously. I wish I could eat all 12 of these bad boys and not gain a pound. That won’t stop me from trying though…

Cupcake Push Pops

Ok, I take back what I said earlier about chocolate dipped pretzels being the greatest invention. THIS is! I mean, come on! How awesome are cupcake push pops?!

3 layers of cake, frosting and filling. All push pops are
made to order. Priority 2 day mail. When ordering please choose from the following flavors:

Triple Chocolate with Fudge and Buttercream frosting
Triple Chocolate with Rasberry filling and Buttercream frosting
Triple Chocolate with Bavarian filling and Buttercream frosting

Red Velvet with Cream Cheese and Buttercream frosting

French Vanilla with Fudge Filling and Buttercream frosting
French Vanilla with Lemon Zest Filling and Buttercream frosting

Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese and Buttercream frosting

OMG…

And lastly, because I don’t think I should torture you with delicious goodness anymore, how great are these?!

Chocolate Savvy

Cupcake in a Jar

Confession? I’m super messy. Like, when I got engaged the first thing my mom said to me was, “umm, a white dress? You do realize you tend to make a mess.” Woops. Anyway, I am a person that totally needs a cupcake in a jar. Whenever I eat cupcakes I usually get frosting and crumbs everywhere. This will save major cleanup. Flavors are:

Triple Chocolate with Fudge and Buttercream frosting
Triple Chocolate with Rasberry filling and Buttercream frosting
Triple Chocolate with Bavarian filling and Buttercream frosting

Red Velvet with Cream Cheese and Buttercream frosting

French Vanilla with Fudge Filling and Buttercream frosting
French Vanilla with Lemon Zest Filling and Buttercream frosting

Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese and Buttercream frosting

Marlo was kind enough to answer some questions. Bon apetite!

1. What is your favorite item in your shop?

Cupcakes in a jar has to be my favorite.

2. What made you want to start an Etsy shop?

I have been an Internet based business for 12 years and a friend told me about ETSY a year ago and I just love it. I love the fact that Etsy is for the Homemade stores.

3. What was the first yummy item you ever created?

My first creation was chocolate dipped Oreos and marshmallows.

Thanks Marlo!

And now, go enjoy a cupcake or two for lunch!

Starbucks Mini Desserts: 2 for $2 Thru 4/22

by Lisa on April 9th, 2012

Starbucks Petites

I’m a sucker for desserts, so when Starbucks released their newest selection of mini desserts I had to check out the cherry pie immediately. It was surprisingly delicious. I don’t know why I was surprised by this because I normally enjoy all of the Starbucks desserts, but I wasn’t expecting it to be quite so flavorful, moist, and perfect. In addition to the cherry pie, the other new desserts this year include apple pie and brown sugar walnut and chocolate hazelnut tarts.

Interested in trying these treats without paying full price? Well, you’re in luck because through April 22, 2012 get any two Starbucks petite desserts for $2!

Worried about calories? Each treat has 200 calories or fewer. Go ahead and indulge a little.

Get Food On The Table – a Meal Planning Service – FREE For Life!

by Lisa on April 3rd, 2012

I just registered for Food on the Table, which is a meal planning service, and it is absolutely fantastic! I make no bones about the fact that I despise cooking. I do it as little as possible. One of the main reasons I despise cooking is because I can’t stand meal planning or grocery shopping or anything like that.

Well, Food on the Table makes things easy as pie. Seriously.

But first – if you register for Food on the Table during the month of April, you will get it FREE for life! This is a better deal than I’ve ever seen for any other meal planning service!! Use code “SPRINGFREE” at checkout {though it may automatically be applied to your order} and you’ll never pay a dime for Food on the Table! Normally this service costs $5 per month.

Alright, so once you’re a Food on the Table member you’ll tell them specifically which grocery stores you shop at and they’ll be on the lookout for fab coupons and discounts for you. {I love that Whole Foods is included in this!} After you choose your grocery stores, you’ll go through and tell them what things you like/need to eat. Perhaps you’re on a Gluten-Free Vegetarian diet. No problem! Perhaps you only want to eat turkey! Not a problem! You choose what type of menus you want to see.

After you choose any food restrictions, you can scroll through a list of meals to choose what you’d like to cook each week. Food on the Table will put together a shopping list for you, and you’ll be able to cross off anything you already have. Then, just print the list and go shopping {and saving since they’re tracking your stores and the available discounts!}

Also, if you have a smartphone you’ll be able to sync up your phone and your computer and have your shopping list {and everything else} available on your phone.

All told, this is a pretty neat service … and you really can’t beat FREE!

Click here to try out Food on the Table now!!!

Update: Sorry for originally calling this company “Meal on the Table.” Apparently I was trying to rename their company!
