About
Lisa Koivu started started FantabulouslyFrugal.com on a whim in March of 2009 because she needed something to fill the void left by grad school and also because there’s nothing she loves more than a good deal. What started as a whim quickly became a passion as Lisa realized there was nothing she found more exhilarating than helping other women save money on clothes, shoes, accessories and other fun items!
You could say Lisa is a professional bargain shopper as she spends hours each day searching the internet for the best retail shopping bargains and sharing her finds right here.
Originally from the Detroit-area, Lisa now lives in Chicago but her heart will always belong to New York City.
In addition to FantabulouslyFrugal.com, there are dedicated sites for Chicago and New York City, as well as Fantabulously Frugal Weddings, which was formed in March of 2011.
FantabulouslyFrugal.com has been featured in CBS Money Watch, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, The Huffington Post, and Refinery29 among others.
Feel free to email Lisa at Lisa@fantabulouslyfrugal.com or connect via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, or Pinterest.

You have $100. Where do you spend it? It’s a toss-up between Target and Anthropologie. I love Target for the great deals, adorable affordable clothes, good makeup steals, and the fact that you can buy almost anything there. But I also love Anthropologie – and it’s so expensive that I would need the $100 so I could get half of a dress.

What’s your best piece of bargain-hunting advice? Everyone knows to use promo codes, but not everyone uses cashback sites. It’s a great way to save a few extra bucks on online purchases.
