Last month Playtex asked women to share their bra loves and dislikes, as they worked toward creating the ultimate Braclaration of Independence. The final document has been posted and is now open for ratification! Those that sign will be entered into a giveaway for a FREE Playtex bra, and they’re giving away 100 bras, which means your chances of winning could be pretty good! The giveaway ends August 12, 2013.
My favorite line from the Braclaration of Independence involves breaking free from bra oppression so that women can wear tank tops and halter tops without fear of bra peekage. I have a feeling this is something many of us are dealing with right now as we want to wear fun summer clothing… but don’t want to put on a peep show in the process!
I was fortunate to receive two bras from Playtex to review: the Playtex Secrets Balconette Underwire and Playtex Sensationally Sleek Wirefree. Personally, I prefer the balconette underwire bra because I’m just an underwire type of girl. I like the shape that an underwire provides, whereas I feel like wire-free bras tend to be minimizers … and I’m not looking for any minimization!
The Playtex Balconette Underwire Bra (just like the bra to the left) provides great support and shape, which are two of the things that are most important to me in a bra! The neckline is great and works well with v-neck shirts! I wore this bra with the lowest v-neck shirt in my closet and you couldn’t see the bra at all. However, with a regular tank top the top of the bra was peeking out the top of the shirt. You win some, you lose some, I suppose.
I received a nude balconette underwire, which is my favorite color for everyday wear during the summer. I wear a lot of white tees during the summer and when I wear nude I generally don’t have to layer my shirts to prevent see-thru situations. Overall, this is a great bra for everyday use! It won’t leave visible lines under your clothes and it is built for all-day wear and comfort.
Have you worn the Playtex Secrets Balconette Underwire or Playtex Sensationally Sleek Wirefree bra? What do you think? And what do you think about the Braclaration of Independence? Do you agree with those points?
