I love perfume, but I hate carrying bottles around in my gym bag or purse because 9 times out of 10 I spill them and make a colossal mess. That’s why I’m so grateful for the solid perfumes! My newest find is LOVE ETC Solid Perfume from The Body Shop.

First of all, how cute is this tin? I think it’s just darling. It’s compact enough that it can fit in any bag, pocket, purse without taking up too much room or being too heavy. I also love the idea of a solid because you can apply as much or as little fragrance as your heart desires. I, personally, don’t like my perfume to be overpowering, so I tend to go on the lighter side. I’ve found, however, that with sprays it’s often difficult to control how much goes on, even with one pump.

My only gripe is the scent. While it isn’t too flowery or too overwhelming, I did feel a bit young wearing it. I’m in my 30s and I felt like I was trying to be 16. I hate to admit that I’m getting old, but I did feel a tad silly wearing this. I ended up passing it on to my 19 year old niece, who simply adores it.

I can tell you that, from a solid perfume sense, LOVE Etc Solid Perfume is the bees knees. It has great staying power. The solid absorbs right into your skin and the scent releases throughout the day.

I was also a fan of the price. For $10 I felt like I didn’t break the bank nor did I spend an arm and leg because a little goes a long way, so I could see this tin lasting quite a while.

Would I buy another solid perfume? Absolutely. Would I buy Love Etc Solid Perfume again? Probably not. But if you have a little sister/niece/daughter who would love a light scent that lasts, I totally recommend checking it out.
