I didn’t make a video for my January Birchbox, which is probably for the best because I likely wouldn’t have been able to mask my disappointment. This just wasn’t a particularly good box.
My January Birchbox contained the following products:
- Skinny Chic perfume
- Lashem Measurable Difference Lash Gel Serum
- Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo
- theBalm Cosmetics Hot Mama (a two-in-one blush and highlighter)
- 2 small packets of Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream
According to the card I received in the box, the Fresh face cream is an “extra.” I feel that way about the perfume as well, which means this box really only had three worthwhile samples included. I enjoy trying new shampoos, and the color of the Hot Mama blush/highlighter is really lovely. I’m not really interested in the Lashem.
You win some and you lose some, and for me the January Birchbox just wasn’t a hit.
A subscription to Birchbox costs $10 per month, and for that you will receive an assortment of normally 5-6 deluxe beauty samples.
