If you recall, I was not a happy camper about my December Birchbox. It was just not very spectacular, and for the first time I didn’t think it was worth the $10 I paid. Thankfully, Birchbox more than made up for last month’s snafu. The January 2012 Birchbox is my favorite to date!
I received the following items this month:
• Larabar sample
• Viva La Juicy perfume sample
• Origins Check sand Balances Frothy Face Wash (1 fl. oz)
• VMV Hypoallergenics Re-Everything Face-Hand-Body Lotion (1 fl. oz)
• stila FULL SIZE Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Peacock {$20 value!}
I cannot believe I received a full size Stila eyeliner! As I mention in the video, I am an absolute eyeliner junkie and this is one product I haven’t tried yet. I will definitely be rockin’ the peacock blue eyeliner tomorrow!
A Birchbox subscription costs $10 per month, and that $10 will get you 4-5 cosmetic/beauty samples and includes shipping. Considering the eyeliner alone retails for $20, the value of my box far exceeded the $10 I paid for it!
I cannot more highly recommend checking out Birchbox. Earlier today I wrote about the Sephora Beauty Insider program, and while I love Sephora, you have to spend $100 to get ONE sample. With Birchbox, $10 gets you 4-5 per month. There’s not much comparison. I love being able to test out pricey cosmetics items before paying full price.
