My December 2011 Birchbox included the following products:
- Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional – this was the one item I was happy to receive and look forward to trying.
- Harvey Prince Ageless – Perfume that’s allegedly designed to make you smell more youthful … hm…
- Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Birchbox Pink – this was a REALLY tiny sample
- Orofluido Beauty Elixir – as you can see I the video I don’t know how to pronounce this product. This is a hair oil.
- Prep ShowStoppers – 2 pieces of fashion tape
- Recharge EBoost – orange powder to mix with water for an energy boost
If this were my first Birchbox, I’d be disappointed. Heck, it’s not my first box and I’m kind of disappointed. Aside from the POREfessional, nothing really grabs me.
With that being said, I’m still sticking with Birchbox. One miss out of a bunch of hits is still OK with me. Plus, as I point out in the video, at Sephora you get 1 sample for every $100 you spend. With Birchbox you get 5-6 samples for $10. I love trying new products, so Birchbox is still my go-to destination.
Unfamiliar with Birchbox? Birchbox sample boxes arrive monthly and cost $10, including shipping. You will receive 5-6 product samples with your monthly shipment. Personally, I think this is a great way to test new products without paying full price.
