I am so excited to introduce you to this week’s featured Etsy shop, Plunk Soap. The shop’s owner, Jennifer, wanted to create an all natural product that her family would love and that she would love creating. ”I wanted our labels to reflect that spirit of fun so each scent’s label is an original collaged piece of art that sets to tone for the soap it identifies.” So cool, right?!
What totally caught my attention was this product. I am always looking at gift ideas for the hubby and thought he might enjoy this. Plus he is a stud muffin in my eyes.
This scent can also come in lotion, body wash, massage oil, and more. A total must for the studs in your life.
I have a love/hate relationship with mosquitos. They love me, I hate them. Another thing I hate? Harsh chemicals. So this all natural bug repellent sounds like a must in my book! This repellent is blended with Eucalyptus, Citronella, Lavender, Spruce and a touch of Clove and Patchouli.
This soap is made with “bentonite clay and mixed with clary sage, lavender, tea tree, petitgrain, and ylang ylang essential oils.” And the coolest thing?! On one side of the soap is a layer of orange rind for exfoliation. It’s like a two in one soap. I love it! This soap is ideal for oily to blemish prone skin and comes in a 4.5 to 5 oz soap bar.
Jennifer was kind enough to answer some questions and offered to do a giveaway! Be sure to read all the way to the end for giveaway information! Enjoy!
1. What is your bestseller?
My best seller would be the Hair Therapy line. This is such a great product for everyone. It is made with Dead Sea Salt and specific essential oils which will improve dandruff, itchy scalp, psoriasis, oily hair, and is good for chemically treated hair to bring the hair back to a soft and healthy nourished head of hair!
2. How did you come up with your shop’s name?
I wanted to come up with a name that stood out. I started out making bars of soap and I got it from the sound a bar of soap makes when dropped in the water “PLUNK”!!!
3. Do you take custom orders?
I do take custom orders. I enjoy making special soaps or other products just for an event or party or for that special gift. I have over 80 essential, fragrance, and flavor oils to choose from.
4. What was the first item you ever made?
The first item I ever made was a bar of Lavender and Chamomile soap. It is still one of my favorites.
5. I love the idea of the loofah inside the soap. Where do you get your inspiration from?
I also love the foot scrub. I wanted to be able to give a friend of mine a gift for her birthday and she loves to get pedicures. I made her up a spa gift bag and experimented with different essential oils to find the best foot scrub ever that would give anyone the look of just stepping out of the nail salon without having to pay the price. The loofah and the soap work together to get all that dry, rough skin off and all the while leaving them smelling great! This product went over so well, that I started selling them in stores in Connecticut and I cannot keep them coming fast enough, especially now that it is summer!
Now, for the giveaway info! Jennifer is kindly giving away a bar of the pedicure soap to one lucky reader!
