For me personally, if I was buying a Kindle, I’d buy the Special Offers Kindle that Lisa told you about a few weeks back. This Kindle runs on Wi-Fi, not 3G, and is only $114, but has advertisements on it, thus the cheaper price.  While I’m comfortable buying it for myself, I would never purchase a Kindle with advertisements for my mom or a friend.  While I love a good deal, I wouldn’t want to seem cheap – that’s why it’s great to see deals on the Kindle 3G and the Kindle DX.
