Holiday Cards from Shutterfly + How to Get 50 Free Cards

by Shaina on October 27th, 2010

I’ve been really excited about picking out holiday cards this year.  This isn’t something I’m usually that excited about (I’m incredibly picky), but this year is different.  My husband left for deployment in January, and he will be home soon.  I can’t wait to send out a joyous happy photo holiday card to all of our friends and family when he returns!

As I mentioned above, I am extremely picky when it comes to holiday cards.  I love holiday photo cards, but don’t like ones that have too many photos … because, quite frankly, my husband and I don’t take very good photos together.  Plus we have been apart all year, so we don’t really HAVE any photos of us together!  If I got cards with multiple photos, ours would have one good photo of us and 12 of the dog.  And that just isn’t super exciting (sorry, Oscar!).  I also like to keep my holiday cards holiday-neutral – I was raised celebrating both Christmas and Hanukkah and I tend to prefer cards that aren’t tied down to any one holiday.  :)

That being said … have y’all checked out Shutterfly for Christmas photo cards before?  I’ve been stalking the Shutterfly website, looking for the *perfect* holiday cards, and I’ve found a few contenders.  Thoughts?

Exhibit A:  The Partridge Pear Tree Holiday Card – These are too cute to pass up!  I love the bright, nontraditional colors and the happy, cheery message.  And yes, I realize that holiday cards usually have happy, cheery messages, but I feel like this is happier and cheerier than usual.

Exhibit B:  The Mod Love Christmas Card – Do you see a theme?  I love the colorful ones that are perhaps not just the traditional red and green.

Exhibit C:  The Under the Mistletoe Folded Christmas Card – I love the vintage-ness of this card, plus the cute little cartoon-y mistletoe.  This *might* be my favorite, but I really can’t decide.

They are all so adorable that I don’t know which one to pick!  Which one is your favorite?

You should definitely check out Shutterfly for all of your holiday card needs.  And, once the holidays are over, you can head back on over there to pick out some nice personalized thank you cards!
