Feel like shopping for a good cause? In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (which starts today!), makeup artist and breast cancer survivor Sonia Kashuk along with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation have created an awesome limited edition collection. You might have already seen these items in your local Target – the collection started selling on August 22nd and will be available for purchase through October 24th. 15% of all proceeds from this collection go directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Let’s face it – women love makeup. But in 2006, 191,410 of those women were diagnosed with breast cancer (CDC). Another 40,820 women that same year died as a result of breast cancer. I think it’s safe to say that all of us know at least one person affected by the disease. So let’s all go out to our local Target, buy some great products, and support a fantastic cause!
Sonia Kashuk “Brighten Your Day” Sponges, 2-pack: $5.99. Who doesn’t love fun, pink makeup sponges? I think these really would brighten your day!
Sonia Kashuk “Seeing Pink” Brush Set – 4 count: $12.99. Pretty brushes, cute case. What’s not to love?
Sonia Kashuk “Circle Around A Cause” – 6 Piece Set: $19.99. More brushes. Cuter case.
Sonia Kashuk “Primping For A Cause” Curler and Tweezer: $16.99. Good essentials – even though, at age 28, I still haven’t mastered tweezing my eyebrows OR curling my lashes. Perhaps now is the time to perfect the art?
Sonia Kashuk BCRF Brush Up On Pink 4-Piece Purse Set: $12.99. Okay, these are adorable, purse-sized, AND come with the cutest little carrying case yet! I must have this.
Sonia Kashuk “Pretty In Pink” Eye Pallette: $12.99. Have you ever seen such pretty, sparkly eye shadow? I absolutely love the colors, too. They look like good, shimmery neutrals that would complement every skin tone.
Sonia Kashuk “Lend A Hand” Nail Polish Set – 3 Pack: $9.99. These are great nail polish shades for fall – a little darker, a little more mute. I especially love that dark purple-y color – kind of like a more affordable Lincoln Park After Dark!
Sonia Kashuk “Circle of Hope” Kabuki Brush: $12.99. Granted, this collection is a bit brush-heavy, but the kabuki brush is easily the most versatile makeup brush. I use mine for mineral foundation, blush, bronzer … whatever!
So run, don’t walk, to your nearest Target – or shop the collection online – and help support a great cause. Shopping plus charity – it really doesn’t get any better than that.
