Chicago Friends: Cheap Rooftop Chicago Cubs Tickets

Chicago readers – I hope you know now how much I love you.  Because if there’s one thing I dislike about Chicago it’s the blasted Cubs.  Grrr.  Just ask my boyfriend – I can rant forever about the Cubs.  First of all, I’m an American League kind of gal {Go Tigers!}.  Second of all, four years living in Wrigleyville left me with a bad taste in my mouth.  So I root for the Brewers. :)

But I recognize that I am in the slim minority of people that live on the northside of Chicago that don’t root for the Cubs.  So this deal is for all of you in the Cubs-lovin’ majority.

If you live in Chicago and you’re a Cubs fan, then you know that tickets sell out within MINUTES of going on sale.  It doesn’t matter where the seat is located because there aren’t any bad seats.  People long to sit in the bleachers at Wrigley!

Last year I saw many a deal for very inexpensive Rooftop Cubs Tickets.  Not familiar with the idea of rooftop tickets?  Here’s a pic:

Cubs Rooftop Seats

Those high-up seats you see are actually located outside of the stadium on top of apartment buildings!

These are the seats that often pop up on deal-a-day websites.  {Believe me – they’re no cheaper just because they’re not actually located within Wrigley!}  For instance, one of these deals is featured today on Chicago-based You Swoop.

Throughout the weekend You Swoop offering up $69 rooftop tickets to the Skybox on Sheffield for a few different games, including a couple of opening week games.  What’s nice about the $69 price tag is that not only do you get a seat for the game, but you also get unlimited food and drinks.  {And yes, those drinks can be of the alcoholic variety if you so choose.}

If you don’t live in Chicago but are planning on visiting, this is also a great option for snagging some tickets at fairly inexpensive prices.

There are quite a few game options available, and according to their website, You Swoop plans on adding more dates throughout the weekend.

Currently the following tickets are available at You Swoop and all cost $69:

• Wednesday April 14 vs Brewers, 1:20 p.m.—175 tickets available (OPENING WEEK)

• Thursday April 15 vs Brewers, 1:20 p.m.—175 tickets available (OPENING WEEK)

• Tuesday April 27 vs Nationals, 7:05 p.m.—250 tickets available

• Tuesday May 11 vs Marlins, 7:05 p.m.—150 tickets available

• Wednesday May 12 vs Marlins, 1:20 p.m.—250 tickets available

• Tuesday May 18 vs Rockies, 7:05 p.m.—100 tickets available

I’m sure there will be similar deals like this one popping up not only on You Swoop, but on other deal-a-day websites.  Keep your eyes peeled, Cubs fans!
