NYC Friends: Old Navy Skating Celebration Benefiting New York Cares This Weekend at Bryant Park

by Lisa on December 11th, 2009

Dear NYC Friends-
Do you ever stop and think to yourself, “I am so freakin’ lucky to live in the best city in the world?”  Because I’m pretty sure that if I lived in NYC I would wake up with a smile on my face thinking those exact words.  I’ll be visiting your glorious city next August and I’m already counting down the days.  I <3 NY. :)

And here’s another reason to love being in NYC: Old Navy is having a Holiday Skating Celebration at The Pond at Bryant Park this Saturday (12/12/09) and Sunday (12/13/09).  Beginning at 8 a.m. on both days the first 3,000 people (woah!) will receive free admission, skate rental, and hot chocolate.  While there you’ll be able to enjoy performances by the RockNRoll Chorus, an a cappella group, and the U.S. National Championship Synchronized Skating Team.

Curious what Old Navy has to do with all this? They’ll be hosting an onsite Old Navy Pop-Up Shop and selling hats, gloves, and scarves for $5 each, with all proceeds directly benefiting New York Cares.

Just another reason I wish I was in NYC.  Ice skating, hot chocolate, Old Navy, and charity = Wonderful!
