One “event” I look forward to every year is the PrettyCity.com Pretty in Pink 31 days of $31 beauty treatments.  (That was a mouth full.)

This will be the fifth October that PrettyCity.com will host 31 days of $31 beauty treatments, which is just what it sounds like.  Various salons, nail places, massage parlors, etc. work with PrettyCity.com to offer discounted beauty treatments throughout the month of October.  These companies each pay a fee to participate, and all of the proceeds raised benefit Bright Pink, “a national non-profit providing education, support and a sense of community to young women at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer.”

As an example of the type of services you’ll find, one of my favorite salons, Tirra Salon and Spa, which is an Aveda salon, participates each year.  This year they are offering three different $31 services:

• Crown Foils with a Blowdry (normally $65)
• 30 Minute Aromatherapy Massage (normally $60)
• One Hour Pedicure (normally $49)

So, the $31 is a pretty big savings!

Pretty in Pink is only available from October 1 – 31, 2009, which is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

I think Pretty in Pink is a great way to save a little bit of $$$ pampering myself while helping out a great organization.
