I first heard about Modern Economy from one of my favorite websites, Oh, Hello Friend. She posted about a sample sale on Modern Economy and I knew I had to check it out immediately.
And how! Modern Economy just might be one of my new favorite stores. Modern Economy is a shop filled with samples and overstock goods from independent designers. They hope to bring “affordable modern design” to everyone. And I think I love them. No joke, I would say a good 9/10 of the items being sold are things I would love to have in my possession immediately. I’m finding it hard to resist considering the sample sale pricing structure. But instead of pulling out my wallet (immediately), I’m going to share some of my favorite finds with you all.
This Tikoli Flax Towel is 18″ x 28″ and 100% cotton. It originally sold for $9.50, but is currently $3. I am a sucker for anything turquoise.
At the beginning of 2009 I stopped using paper napkins of any type and have started a collection of cloth napkins. They may be more expensive individually, but more economical and eco-friendly in the long-run. And I am feeling very strongly that I NEED these Dermond Peterson Pink Dots Napkins in my collection:
They’re a little pricey at $5 per napkin, but a steal when you consider the original price was $25/napkin!
You didn’t think I could have a post without note cards, did you? Silly!
If I had these You’re Pretty Awesome Cards, I would probably send them to everyone I know! (Or at least anyone I think is pretty awesome. Which is everyone.) They were originally $20 and are now just $8.
I just can’t stop myself from looking at – and coveting – everything that’s for sale! Case in point, this Simrin Nature Table Runner:
I don’t even have a table this would look good on, but I feel like it’s such a steal for just $15!
Alright, I think I’m through torturing all of you. Click here to check out everything that’s available at the Modern Economy Sample Sale. Hurry! The sale ends tomorrow, September 11, 2009 at 12 p.m. EST.
